Automatic/manual transmission question?

Monday, November 29th, 2010
ggpwned asked:

I read that if you are driving a manual transmission, and if you are driving while still in gear and you bring the car to a complete stop without shifting the lever to neutral, your car will stall. That is why you need to shift the lever to neutral when you are bringing the car to a complete stop (e.g. at a stoplight).

However, I do not understand why an engine for a car with an automatic transmission would not stall even though the gear lever is still in “drive”. Wouldn’t stopping the car (auto tranny) with the brakes cause the gears that link the engine and the transmission to lock up and stop the engine altogether? Is there a temporary “neutral” mode that the car’s automatic transmission goes into to allow the engine to keep idling even though the transmission is still in “drive”? Please explain this.

Also, why do cars with an automatic transmission tend to slowly creep forward (in drive) or backward (in reverse) when the brake and accelerator pedals are not pushed down at all? I noticed that, for a car with a manual transmission, you would need to shift the car into gear and depress the accelerator pedal in order to move the car but why does this principle not apply to cars with automatic transmissions?

Conservatives believe that the Wealhy/Rich Consumers create Jobs but the fact is there is not enough Rich/Wealthy Consumers to create Jobs it is the Middle Class Consumers that create Jobs does anyone else agee with me I know Conservatives won’t agree with me but what about my fellow Democrats I am a Democrat by the way.

Why High Taxes Are Bad
by Joe MartinThere’s a very simple way to demonstrate that high taxes are a bad idea. Rich people have lots of money. The best thing possible for everyone else is that rich people spend that money. Every dollar spent by a rich person is a dollar that helps employ someone else. If buying a car, auto works are employed; if buying a suit, textile workers are employed; if buying a house, construction workers are employed; if buying a yacht, dock workers are employed.

The more government taxes someone, the less likely they are to put their money in places where it can be taxed. If they stop spending, the entire economy suffers. If government lowers their taxes, they will be more likely to spend their money, thus creating jobs for everyone else.

Call it trickle down economics. Call it Reaganomics. Or call it psychology. Whatever you call it, it works. Tax someone more, they’ll spend less; tax someone less, they’ll spend more. I’m better off when they spend more. Aren’t you?

One way or another, there’s really no way for the economy to grow strongly and consistently unless middle-class consumers spend more, and they can’t spend more unless they make more.

Was very impressed with the first two volumes of this anime. It’s been a while since something extremely well drawn with a decent region has came out in a while(as far as anime is concerned) . I highly suggest that fans of the Devil May Yell games or if you are into anime like ScryEd, Vandread and formats of such check it out. I would give the anime a five star but there is definitly a itsy-bitsy lack in character effect up. I mediate this is due to the fact that Dante, Lady and the rest are already established characters in the gaming world.

This was a fun bloody and laughable and gorey fun, there is no animation i like better then strong action bloody violence and this is what it is. This is laughable to and very fun to sight this is a awsome series witch is very huge that they brought up with broad characters horrid storyline and bloody guts spiling out fun. I objective appreciate animation with strong bloody violence like this its very fun to see and you can look it over and over and over again its so fun to study, this is a animation with vast roar actors well of course its from ADV films but this is a hot animation. The creature demons are so awsome looking the graphic is wonderfull to, and being that i have a gargantuan HD TV its even more better with soundng and crazy action awsome series. Justin cause did an exellent hiss of dante, and hilary haag did a fun cute yelp of patty like always in her animation but this was a fun animation i can’t untill level3 comes out this was awsome fun. The demons are horrible looking with immense conclude and manufacture, this animation alone is unbiased unbelievable with a stout yarn and the whole memoir to, now you can step deeper inside the bloody truth late dante’s most uncertain missions. And these cases are even more lead filled and blood drenched then the last. Theres the demonic face late the mafia. A rock star siren who’d sell her soul for a hit song. A lowly fisherman who reels in a satanically sinful collect. And a man who succumbs to shadowy purposes to fulfill a estimable goal to monstrous results. With more monsters, hooter babes, and more brutal battles, this is the most involving anime series based on any game ever. Don’t miss piece two of the awsome Devil May Shout entertaining trilogy, this is a very fun series.

_The Occult History of the Third Reich_ consists of two DVDs featuring current footage from Nazi Germany and telling the story of the occult origins of National Socialism. “The Enigma of the Swastika” tells the story of the origins of the swastika as symbol of National Socialism. It begins by noting a period of decline in ancient hierarchy, authority, and religion, and a rise in industry and finance at the beginning of the twentieth century. This decline was not greeted warmly by all those who lived at the time. To compensate, various counter-myths and restorationist schemes were proposed. In Tibet for example, the swastika had long been stale as a veteran symbol for edifying luck. The Russian seer who allegedly visited Tibet, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky proposed that the swastika was the symbol of the Aryan root urge. Later, Guido von List, a Germanic mystic, influenced by the ideas of Blavatsky wrote of the lost Teutonic speed who worshipped Wotan and referred to them as Aryans. List also was to invent spend of the swastika as symbol of the Aryans. In the Spacious War, the swastika became a talisman feeble by soldiers. Various secret societies such as the Thule Society, which operated slow the NSDAP, speed by Rudolph von Sebottendorf, also made employ of the swastika. When Hitler came to power he incorporated a straight-armed and anti-clockwise swastika as the symbol of National Socialism. Also, Alfred Rosenberg, a Nazi philosopher, and the SS were to expend the swastika as their possess special symbol.

“The SS: Blood and Soil” tells the sage of the SS guard, an Aryan elite and supposed “brotherhood of Templars”. The SS was commanded by Heinrich Himmler who developed a profound nostalgia for a lost aristocratic elite. Other figures who believed in a hidden elite or hidden masters included Blavatsky, Aleister Crowley, and List. Various secret societies including freemasons, the Rosicrucians, the Jesuits, and the Templars served as models for the SS. The SS wore a special “death’s head” insignia. A system of racial hygiene and eugenics was instated in Nazi Germany so as to breed the Aryan superman.

“Himmler: The Mystic” tells the chronicle of Heinrich Himmler’s infatuation with the occult. Himmler began his career as an agriculturalist leading him to stress the importance of the sage of “Blood and Soil” as well as the necessity of Lebensreform. Himmler also was interested in astrology, spiritualism, and herbalism. Himmler commissioned a special bureau of SS archeology, which sought to rediscover lost Aryan civilizations. Karl Maria Wiligut served an indispensable role as an occultist for Himmler’s SS. In addition, Himmler sought out Wewelsburg castle as the spiritual center of the SS order.

“Adolf Hitler” reveals the secret history of Adolf Hitler and his involvement with the occult. Hitler read the writings of Jorg Lanz who published Ostara and advocated a system of theozoology. In addition, Hitler was also influenced by the Englishman who praised Germanic culture Houston Stewart Chamberlain and the composer Richard Wagner. Alfred Rosenberg, the Nazi philosopher, made common the distinguished “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” which influenced Hitler’s rabid antisemitism. This program shows the destruction wrought by the Third Reich, the employ of eugenics, and the death camps.

This is an fantastic collection of recently discovered archival footage that is outmoded and extremely considerable in terms of our idea history so that we are *not* condemned to explain it…that is, any more than we already have, and continue to. I have a *much* better notion of the view systems that underpinned the logic of Hitler’s Germany, and understand that a) he was not alone in his fanatacism and b) that these concept systems did not begin in Germany nor did they waste there. This is essential information to know, to understand and to section. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to better understand the world around them, yesterday, today and tomorrow. I felt like I was there.

A featurette on Donald Duck artists Carl Barks “The Art And Animation of Carl Barks”.

The 1940 Donald Duck public service short 1940 “The Volunteer Worker”. If this info is honest, I don’t know why this is repeated from the Walt Disney Treasures DVD region Chronological Donald Duck Volume 1.

A timeline of the Walt Disney Studios during the World War II years 1941-1945.

Donald-themed quiet frame art galleries.

The cartoons below famed with a “*” were also previously released on the Walt Disney Treasures DVD area On The Front Lines. Cartoons famed with a “+” should be in the state, but were probably mistakingly left off the official announcement list.

1942

1943

9. * Der Fuehrer’s Face – Donald has a nightmare that he is living in Nazi Germany, where everything (buildings, trees, clouds, etc.) is shaped like a swastika. He dreams of bayonet discipline, starvation, hard labor on a munitions assembly line, and having to “Heil Hitler” every diminutive of the day. He awakens to net himself delighted to be a U.S. citizen. This is a very effective propaganda cartoon and is also an spellbinding, laughable cartoon. These cartoons are among Donald’s funniest and most imaginative. These Walt Disney Treasures sets of the Disney cartoons are among the best bargains of any DVD situation. I have these cartoons since VHS tapes of the 1980s and the Disney Channel cartoon shows and serene like them after watching them for many years. I very distinguished explore forward to the DVD sound and represent quality that these Walt Disney Appreciate sets have had.

The Disney treasures collection is the best and cheapest blueprint of getting the entire series to their golden age shorts.

I must warn you not to prefer any of these mini DVDS if you are someone who would adore the stout collection being the mini DVDS are fair repeats or shorts due on future disney treasures.

Donald Duck has Stared in 162 colored shorts in total from 1934-1967. Below is a complete list of all his appearnces. it comes in 4 collumns: first the episode number, then the date, then the official clasification of the series it comes under, then the title.

All ones clasified as mickey mouse are seen in the both volumes of Mickey Mouse In Living Color which I would rather call Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy & Friends being all Mickey’s shorts on his colored DVDS star at least one out of Donald, Pluto & Goofy who all have DVDS of their occupy in the treasures starring unprejudiced them and not Mickey in their shorts when none of Mickey’s DVDS star him and not them meaning his colored DVDS are honest origins to the loyal stars being Chosen because Donald, Pluto and Goofy star in all of Mickey’s shorts which were made before all them three started getting shorts of their absorb at the same time as they stopped producing regular Mickey Mouse shorts for edifying as though Mickey’s cartoons were fair pilot shorts where they sussed out what characters are best that should be given their enjoy regular series which all three of Mickey’s friends got at starring them selfs but not Mickey or anyone else originated from previous cartoons, but Mickey him self could not be a cartoon star due to his mean character not going with his exquisite personality which made them diminutive on available stories to suit Mickey’s Character(READ MY MICKEY REVIEW TO LEARN MORE)

On Donald’s DVDS their is one short clasified as mickey not seen in mickeys collection being it does not star mickey which you will notice in the list and understand better if you read my Mickey Colored Care For Reviews, also the ones clasified as War are seen in the ON THE FRONT LINES Disney Savor release. the episodes seen on the front lines DVD of Donald based on the war which are not clasified as war in the below list were peaceful share of his regular series which is why they are repeated on his gain general release even though already on the front lines, but the ones clasified as war in the below list are only seen on the front lines DVD because they were not fraction his regular series, they were commercials made for the war.

All The ones clasified as Donald and Goofy are in the donald duck collection.

Disney Treasures: Donald Duck Vol.1-2 feature all the cartoons in the list I said are included in the donald duck collection from 1934-46. which means 2 more volumes are due to complete the donald duck series.

Any other cartoons starring donald duck other than the below list were either theatrical movies, plus movies that were shorts combine when originally released which you can accumulate on DVD now such as Mellody Time.
