My parents have previously claimed me on taxes, this year I would like to claim myself but am unsure on laws?

Im 19 years old, am a full-time student, and work a part-time job. I made $18,000 last year, I pay for my school, car, auto insurance, and other recreational expenses. My parents don’t charge me any rent or utilities to live here and I also get free health insurance for being a full-time student. However If I claimed myself I would receive $1100 back. Could I be dropped off their health insurance and then claim myself on taxes. What would my best course of action be?
